Playgrounds across the North Shore will reopen on Monday, June 1.
Playgrounds will open in the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver and District of West Vancouver as well as in schools and the playgrounds overseen by the North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission.
Playgrounds have been closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Playground users are being asked to follow public health guidelines including maintaining a two metre physical distance and washing or sanitizing hands before and after use.
While the playground equipment will be inspected prior to opening, it will not be sanitized.
With COVID-19 cases in BC on the decline, outdoor recreation facilities across the North Shore have started to reopen.
