North Van man arrested after alleged stabbing in Lower Lonsdale

Staff report
April 17, 2025 10:37am

North Vancouver RCMP have arrested a man connected to a double stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning.

On April 13, 2025, just after 2 am, North Vancouver RCMP responded to an assault in front of a liquor establishment in the 100 block of Semisch Aveune in North Vancouver. First responders arrived on scene and located two people with injuries consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon. They sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The suspect, a North Vancouver man who was on parole, was arrested by officers on April 15. He is currently being held in custody due to parole revocation. The investigation into the alleged assault continues by North Vancouver RCMP Serious Crime Investigators.

“As the investigation is in its very early stages, there are a lot of unanswered questions that police are seeking answers for,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “What we do know is that there was a dispute inside the liquor establishment between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred.”

Anyone who has not yet spoken to the police and witnessed the incident, is asked to call police at 604-985-1311 and quote file # 25-7227.
