North Vancouver RCMP have arrested a man for assault after a reported stabbing at a construction site.
On June 5, 2025, just before noon, North Vancouver RCMP received several reports of an assault at a construction site near West 1st Street and Pemberton Avenue. It is alleged that a man entered the site and assaulted a worker. Numerous frontline officers, including West Vancouver Police Department (WVPD) officers who were nearby, responded to the incident.
The suspect was taken into custody a short distance away. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The suspect and victim are known to each other.
“This was a frightening and unsettling incident for the workers at the construction site,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “Thanks to the quick response of RCMP and WVPD officers, the suspect was arrested.”
