A proactive patrol by the North Vancouver RCMP last night proved costly for one motorcyclist after an officer discovered three violations. The motorcyclist was fined $983.

The incident began when the officer noticed a motorcycle displaying inactive license plates. Once the rider was pulled over, the traffic stop revealed other issues: the plate belonged to a different vehicle, there was no insurance, and the driver didn’t have a valid motorcycle license.
“Looks like the only thing this rider was licensed for… was bad decisions,” the North Vancouver RCMP quipped in a social-media post. The officer issued tickets on the spot for the improper plate, the absence of insurance, and the missing licence.
