They are asking anyone who may recognize the vehicle, or who may have any information about this crime, to contact North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and quote file #22-19179.
We have absolutely no tolerance for behaviour that seeks to marginalize, belittle, or intimidate members of our LGBTQ2S+ community, and we will do everything we can to investigate hate crimes and hate motivated incidents, in order to see those responsible held to account,
said Constable Mansoor Sahak of North Vancouver RCMP.
We have been working closely with the North Shore Pride Alliance to provide any support they need. Thankfully, the City worked quickly to remove the spray paint, but for anyone who has been negatively impacted by this incident, RCMP victim services supports are available,
he said.
Anyone looking for support can contact North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and ask for the Victim Services Unit.
