North Van RCMP has expressed its gratitude to the community for their support in these trying times.
In a press statement, local RCMP station in North Vancouver said the detachment is thankful to individuals and local businesses that dropped off cards, made banners and sent baked goodies to the detachment.
Here is the full message from North Van RCMP:
Life is looking a little more normal these days, and as the Province continues to take steps forward in our Provincial Restart Plan, we want to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful North Vancouver community for their support over the past few months.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of our friends in North Vancouver, for banging pots and blowing horns, for clapping and whistling and cheering us on each night at 7:00.
We thank our neighbours and community groups, who dropped off cards and banners and posters and all manner of art conveying heart-felt warm wishes, and who brightened our office with beautiful, fragrant flowers.
We thank the bakers and connoisseurs of all manner of delectable treats; though you tempted us to expand our waistlines with afternoon treats and midnight snacks, (yes, we’re talking donuts!), your sweets comforted us on many difficult days and lonely nights. We thank our local restaurants, many of whom offered our members the hot meals that had suddenly become so hard to find.
We thank the community groups who delivered bags filled with wonderful, locally-sourced products. We thank the companies and organizations who donated hand sanitizer and face shields, for jumping to the task when those commodities suddenly became unnervingly scarce.
Throughout this difficult, strange and challenging time, we saw your kindness, we felt your warmth, we benefited from your generosity.
