North Vancouver RCMP is warning dog owners to keep an extra eye out after receiving two reports of what appeared to be dog poisoning at Lynnmouth Park, located at 1322 Cotton Drive.
It is too early to tell if these incidents are as a result of a deliberate attempt at poising dogs, or if the dogs were poisoned after ingesting a toxic plant or mushroom, said Cst. Mansoor Sahak of the North Vancouver RCMP. ‘At this time we have no evidence that this was an intentional act, but we are investigating all possibilities.’
North Vancouver RCMP received reports on October 4 and 5 from dog owners reporting that their dog became ill after ingesting something at the park. One dog died shortly after.
“We are concerned for the safety of the dogs that frequent the park, which is why we are warning dog owners to be vigilant, and to report anything suspicious,”said Cst. Mansoor Sahak. Anyone who has any information about these matters is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
