A North Vancouver driver with a learner’s licence was pulled over after attracting police attention for a loud exhaust.
In a social media post, North Vancouver RCMP said the driver was ticketed for being on the road after midnight, driving without a qualified supervisor, and failing to display the required “L” sign.

“Rules are not a game, they’re here to keep you alive. Follow them closely if you want to drive,” police wrote.
“N” driver caught at 150 km/h on Hwy 91
In a separate post, BC Highway Patrol reported that a driver with an “N” licence was caught travelling 150 km/h in a 70 km/h zone on Highway 91 near the Alex Fraser Bridge.

When stopped, the driver told officers, “Hey man it’s my sister’s car.” Police said the driver received a $483 fine, a vehicle impound, and three years of high-risk insurance premiums.
According to BC Highway Patrol, the total cost of the violation is expected to exceed $2,500 for both the driver and his sister.
