Staff Report
September 26, 2025 9:33am

A planned power outage for parts of North Vancouver will not go ahead as scheduled on Friday, September 26.

BC Hydro said the outage was meant to affect the western and southeast portions of Pemberton Heights between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Capilano School was not included in the original plan.

According to BC Hydro, the outages are part of a project to transfer customers from the old Capilano Substation to a new one. The switch is expected to improve service reliability in the area. The utility has notified affected customers of the postponement.

Residents can check the Planned Outages section of the BC Hydro website or call 1-800-244-9376 for more information.
