North Vancouver RCMP arrest two after suspicious activity in Deep Cove

Two suspects were arrested in Deep Cove after North Vancouver RCMP responded to reports of individuals using flashlights to peer into parked vehicles late at night.

Recently, we responded to reports of suspicious males using flashlights to look into vehicles in Deep Cove. Our officers quickly arrived on scene and located the suspects nearby. Thanks to a vigilant resident who spotted the suspicious activity and alerted authorities, officers could respond quickly and locate the suspects nearby. A subsequent investigation led to the recovery of stolen property, including a wallet containing multiple forms of identification linked to recent vehicle break-ins.

“Thanks to an observant witness and our quick-acting officers, these suspects’ night of prowling was cut short,” North Van RCMP said in a statement. Police are reminding residents to report suspicious behavior and to avoid leaving valuables in vehicles.
