North Vancouver RCMP investigating white supremacy stickers in Central Lonsdale

Staff report
March 11, 2025 3:59pm

North Vancouver RCMP is investigating incidents of stickers promoting white supremacy in the community.

On January 27, 2025, North Vancouver RCMP were called about several large white stickers posted on poles, fences and signs covered with English text that represent an ignorant and discriminatory ideology against ethnic diversity, police said in a press release. A smaller, rectangular sticker with a QR code and web address sometimes accompanies these larger stickers.

The stickers have appeared in Central Lonsdale and have since been removed. Police are investigating these incidents as a wilful promotion of hatred.

Promoting hate propaganda has no place in our community, and these ideologies are not representative of our community, said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. We remain committed to ensuring North Vancouver is a safe and inclusive place for everyone.

For the past several months, investigators have exhausted all avenues to further the investigation and are now appealing to the public. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and quote file #2025-1856. Those who wish to provide information but want to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Of course this is never acceptable but last year there were pro-Hamas anti-Jewish posters all over Lower Lonsdale as well. Wonder if the RCMP did anything about those? Hatred is hatred and all should be treated equally

The continued presence of antisemitic graffiti and stickers across lower lonsdale shows that this issue is pretty widespread. Hopefully the city is diligent in removing those as well.

Hear hear! We don’t need any of this crap and frankly at the present time the latter is more widespread.
