Since then, investigators have conducted an extensive neighbourhood canvass and taken multiple statements to advance the investigation. Today, police are releasing a still image of Virginia leaving her apartment on September 18, in the hope that it will generate new leads.

Virginia is described as a 58-year-old Indigenous woman, standing five feet four inches tall, with long, straight brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a puffy black jacket, black pants, and sunglasses.

“At this point, this remains a missing person investigation, and investigators do not believe foul play is involved,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “Family and friends are extremely concerned for her well-being and are pleading for her to return home.”

If you were in the area of 100 block of East Esplanade Avenue between 3 pm to 4 pm on September 18 and may have CCTV or dash cam of Virginia, your asked to contact the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and quote file #2025-19907.
