North Vancouver RCMP is increasing its focus on high-crash intersections as traffic volumes rise with the start of the school year.

Last week, officers were stationed at Main Street and Mountain Highway following complaints of drivers blocking the intersection, using the bus lane to cut through, and making unsafe lane changes. Within just one hour, 11 violations were issued.

It’s about time however, they need to do this on a daily basis especially down on Main Street.

For all it’s worth yesterday I saw an officer using radar at the bottom of Keith- Road where it turns into Marine Drive, however, a white van was way over the speed limit while going past the officer, stayed in the right hand lane as it turned into the bus lane continue, continued on to Marine Dr in the bus lane and never got pulled over so what good was that?
