Overnight roadwork is taking place on Taylor Way and Marine Drive in West Vancouver as part of the final phase of the Executive on the Park development at 423 6th Street.
The work began on September 22 and is expected to finish by October 3. The project includes new sidewalks, curbs, street lighting, and a bike lane. According to the District of West Vancouver, the improvements are fully funded by the developer.
Construction is happening overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. because Taylor Way and Marine Drive are arterial highways under the Ministry of Transportation and Transit. The ministry requires night work to reduce daytime disruptions to traffic.
Traffic will remain open in both directions, but drivers should expect delays. Traffic control personnel and signage are in place to manage congestion and assist pedestrians. Noise is anticipated during the overnight work hours. Project updates are available at westvancouver.ca/traffic
