North Shore residents can expect traffic delays as City of North Vancouver crews work to reconfigure traffic lanes on Marine Drive.
Marine Drive will be closed between Fell Avenue and Bewicke Avenue from Monday, December 21, 8 pm to December 22, 2 am to reconfigure traffic lanes.
Once complete, there will be two lanes westbound and one lane eastbound.
Detours will be in place with traffic controllers on site.
Once completed, the new, wider bridge will provide an improved experience for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and drivers, city says.
The new bridge will include four lanes of traffic, transit lanes in each direction, sidewalks and protected bike lanes on both sides, a new multi-use path under Marine Drive connecting the Mosquito Creek trail.
