West Vancouver Police is investigating a collision that claimed a senior’s life in the Cedardale area of the community.
On February 28, at 9:20 a.m. the West Vancouver Police responded to the 800 block of 3rd Street after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a truck. The accident happened just north of Keith Road.
Police say a 83-year-old man died on the scene after being struck by a commercial flatbed truck. The area of 3rd Street was closed for several hours while the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) took control of the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at scene and is cooperating with police. “This is a tragic incident. All of us at the West Vancouver Police offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased man. Losing someone, especially from within our community is devastating,” says Cst.
