Metro Vancouver Transit Police has identified and issued an arrest warrant for a man who choked and then robbed people on transit.

He was believed to be involved in two violent robberies.

Andrew KRIZMANITS, 42, of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of Robbery and two counts of Attempting to Choke to Overcome Resistance. He is well known to the police.

An arrest warrant has been issued. Transit Police have information that he may be headed to or may be in Eastern Canada or possibly the Sunshine Coast.

Transit Police are appealing to KRIZMANITS to do the right thing and to turn himself in at any police agency. KRIZMANITS is described as a Caucasian male, 42-years-old, approximately 6’1, with a stocky build, short brown hair and brown eyes.

“We are very concerned by the level of violence KRIZMANITS is willing to use. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Transit Police at 604-515-8300 or text us using code 87-77-77 and refer to file 2019-15236.”

On September 12, 2019, Transit Police appealed to the public for help in identifying the man who choked his victims until they lost consciousness before robbing them.
