North Vancouver RCMP are investigating a shooting at a home in the Windsor Park area early Sunday morning.

Police said a homeowner in the 900 block of Tollcross Road reported hearing a loud bang yesterday, around 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found bullet holes and other evidence confirming that shots had been fired at the residence. The home was occupied at the time, but no one was injured, according to a media release from North Vancouver RCMP.

“This is an unsettling incident that understandably causes concern in the community,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, media relations officer with the detachment. “The active investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the North Vancouver RCMP Investigative Services Section. At this time, the motive remains under investigation, and there is no known threat to public safety.”

Investigators are asking anyone with CCTV/dashcam footage or information about the incident to contact North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
