Police and the coroner are investigating after a body was found floating in Burrard Inlet.
In a press release, Port Moody police said on December 7, 2024 at about 3:30 p.m., first responders were called to the boat launch at Rocky Point Park for a report of a body floating in the Burrard Inlet.
The body was removed from the inlet. At this point in time, police are working with B.C. Coroners Service to identify the deceased person and determine the cause of death.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact our investigators” states Constable Sam Zacharias, adding that “initial information suggests the death is not suspicious in nature.”
