BC Government says it made a clerical error on reporting about recurrence of COVID-19 case at Inglewood Lodge in West Vancouver.
“We can confirm yesterday a clerical error incorrectly stated a new case of COVID-19 at Inglewood Lodge in West Vancouver. Today we have corrected our online reports,” according to a statement from the BC Ministry of Health.
The province has also admitted error in reporting that an outbreak at Broadway Pentecostal Lodge in Vancouver was a COVID-19 outbreak.
In fact, it was an influenza outbreak.
Meanwhile, two workers at the Amica Edgemont Village have tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Amica said Vancouver Coastal Health notified them about the two team members on Thursday, April 16.
One is a housekeeper who last worked on April 9. The second case is a maintenance worker who last worked on April 13, and tested positive the next day.
According to the latest update, only three long term care facilities on the North Shore have COVID-19 outbreaks: Amica Edgemont Village, Berkely Care Centre, and Lynn Valley Care Centre.
