Cypress and Mount Seymour provincial parks will open on June 1. However, these parks will open for day use only, and not all facilities and services will be operational in these parks.
The Indian Arm Park will also reopen on June 1.
Among other regional parks, Cultus Lake park will also reopen, although playgrounds and group sites will remain closed.
BC Parks will also reopen two more provincial parks in Squamish next week. Shannon Falls and Porteau Cove Provincial parks will reopen on June 1 as well.
BC Parks opened the Stawamus Chief park few weeks ago, but the access to the backside trail remains closed to the public. The park is, however, open to rock climbing and picnicking.
Meanwhile, parking at the park has also been reduced by 50 % to maintain physical distancing. BC Parks is reminding people to early or on weekdays to ensure a parking spot.
The popular tourist destination, Joffres Lake park, also remains closed.
