Residents of the District of West Vancouver will have an opportunity to weigh in on a proposed triplex development at 1308 28th Street, as the applicant is set to hold a public consultation meeting for the project.
The consultation is being conducted under the Preliminary Development Proposal and Public Consultation Policy. It will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a presentation scheduled for 5:30 p.m., at the West Vancouver Presbyterian Church, located at 2893 Marine Drive.
The preliminary proposal would replace the existing single-family dwelling with a two-storey triplex, including a basement and sub-basement. Parking for the units is proposed at the basement level, with vehicle access from 28th Street. The press release noted that the proposal is being reviewed under Official Community Plan Policy 2.1.4, which considers ground-oriented multi-family housing options along the Marine Drive Transit Corridor.
The applicant will host the consultation meeting, and it is not a District-led event, the press release noted.
