District of North Vancouver is organising a public hearing for two housing developments.

The public hearings will be held consecutively on Tuesday, Nov 9, at 7 pm.

IBI Group Architects has applied to develop a total of 420 homes at 1510-1530 Crown Street and 420, 440 & 460 Mountain Highway.

The development is proposing 205 owned, 170 market rental, and 45 non-market rental units and approximately 24,816 square feet of commercial space.

The site is currently occupied by five single-family homes, and Dykhof Nurseries.

It also includes a component of the ‘Town Centre Plaza’ at the north side of the property.

The development, which also included a private childcare space, will be a mix of buildings ranging from 7 to 24 storeys.

The second public hearing is for Engage Architecture’s application to develop 140 condos in two six-storey buildings at 405-485 Marie Place.

The development proposes 161 parking spaces, of which 147 resident and 14 are visitor parking spaces.
