Public info meet set for planned Horseshoe Bay hotel

Staff Report
November 10, 2025 10:28am

A four-storey mixed-use development with hotel and ground-floor retail is being proposed for 6408, 6412, and 6418 Bay Street in Horseshoe Bay, according to the District of West Vancouver.

The proposal, currently under staff review, aims to replace the existing one- and two-storey commercial buildings, home to Troll’s Restaurant, Spirit Gallery, and Olive & Anchor Restaurant, with a new development.

According to the District, the plan includes commercial space at street level and a 42-unit hotel above, comprising 33 short-term and 9 long-term units. The project also proposes rooftop amenities, underground parking accessible from the rear lane, and upgrades to the surrounding public realm.

The applicant, The Tides at Horseshoe Bay, will host a public information meeting to share details about the proposal on Thursday, November 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gleneagles Golf Clubhouse, Great Room, at 6190 Marine Drive in West Vancouver.

Residents can submit feedback online between November 20 and December 5, via info@TidesatHorseshoeBay.ca. This meeting is organized by the applicant and is not a District event. A preliminary version of the project was presented earlier this year, with an applicant-led consultation held on July 17.
