Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver, including for West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Howe Sound, the North Shore, and the northeast and central Metro Vancouver regions are expected to receive up to 80 mm of rain from this storm.
Expect heavy rain as intense frontal system rapidly approached the south coast today. Moderate rain will start near mid day and become heavy at times overnight.
East Vancouver Island near Bowser is expected to get 80 to 100 mm of rain before it eases Thursday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, and localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
