The City of North Vancouver has granted a temporary use permit for a sales office in Lower Lonsdale, as proposed by Starburn Group.

The sales office will be located at 125 East 2nd Street, currently occupied by two low-rise commercial buildings that will be demolished later to allow for the approved mixed-use development for the site.

The proposed sales office will occupy vacant commercial ground-level units and feature a reception desk, display models, seating areas, and a replica suite. Starburn Group has submitted a building permit to construct the described works, and staff will resume their reviews with the granting of the TUP.

The site is intended for the sale and marketing of residential Strata units to be developed on the site. In a letter by Starburn Group, they provided an additional rationale for operating the sales centre. They explained that the building is currently not tenantable due to the closure of the former tenant and a catastrophic failure of a 2″ water main.

The company is ready to proceed with the sales centre and the immediate development of the project once pre-sales are completed.
