Repair on Seymour Valley Trailway; expect intermittent closures

Staff report
June 18, 2021 7:36am

The Seymour Valley Trailway will be undergoing repairs on Monday June 21st. Only one lane will be open while crews are working.

Expect intermittent closures. Please obey signage and reduce speed in work zones.

No motorized vehicles on the trailway. Go slow and respect all users.

Metro Vancouver will be testing the newly installed visible and audible alarms (meant to provide an alert in case of a dam-related emergency) located within Capilano River Regional Park.

Testing will take place from 9 am to 5 pm, for a minimum of 90 seconds and may be repeated up to 10 times.

Testing is to collect data on audibility range of the alarms.

This final round of testing for the five new alarms will be on June 21 and 22, 9 am to 3 pm.
