Rock Ambleside Park concert on August 16,17 & 18

Staff report
August 14, 2019 12:16pm

On August 16, 17 and 18, West Vancouver will welcome Rock Ambleside Park, a classic rock music festival. This event is part of the Ambleside Live concert series and will take place rain or shine.

District says there would be an impact on residents as a result of noise, increased traffic to the park and road closures. District staff are working closely with the concert promoter to reduce these impacts to the community.

All costs of the event will be covered by the concert promoter. The concert will also bring many benefits to West Vancouver, including revenue for the municipality and exposure for local businesses, and volunteer and community engagement opportunities, District says.

AMBLESIDE PARK
The park will be open to pedestrians throughout the event.
Vehicles will have limited access into the park from Thursday, August 15 to Monday, August 19.

AMBLESIDE PAR 3
Ambleside Par 3 will be open throughout the event.

ROAD CLOSURES
Pound Road will be closed from 11:30 p.m. on Friday, August 16 to the morning of Sunday, August 18.

GETTING TO THE CONCERT
Concert-goers are encouraged to take public transit, walk or cycle to the event to reduce traffic and parking congestion. A bicycle valet will be in the park to assist cyclists.
