Several recreational programs cancelled in North Van

North Vancouver Recreation Commission is cancelling indoor fitness, yoga, and several other classes.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Provincial Health Officer announced new COVID-19 restrictions for the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions for a two-week period.

In response to the orders, NVRC is cancelling some programs and sessions until November 23 at 12pm.

All program participants will be notified by email and refunds will be provided.

Cancelled programs:

All indoor fitness classes and yoga

Aquafit classes

Badminton

Basketball

Dance classes

Health management classes e.g. Cardiac Rehab

Hockey and ringettegames (rentals)

Martial Arts

Masters swim

Netball

Parent & Tot (not instructor led)

Pickle ball

Racquetball and Squash

Table Tennis

Tennis – adult leagues

Tennis – doubles games

Volleyball

Youth Centres

Some room rentals

NVRC programs and activities that are continuing, with safety protocols and physical distancing in place, including but not limited to:

Arts programs

Fitness Centre – individual visits

Lane Swimming and Water Walking

Licensed Preschool

Parent & tot programs (those that are instructor led)

Pottery studios

Public swims and skates

Sport Programs and Sportball (drills only)

Swimming and skating lessons

Tennis lessons and singles game play

Trail Trekkers walks and hikes

Woodworking
