Presentation House Theatre (PHT) will launch its fall Singalong Series with a screening of The Greatest Showman on Saturday, September. The event will feature two showings at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The 2017 musical, inspired by the life of American showman P.T. Barnum, stars Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, and Zendaya. The film follows a fictionalized version of Barnum’s rise in show business, highlighting themes of imagination, family, and self-acceptance.
According to a media release from PHT, the event encourages audience participation, with attendees invited to dress in themed costumes and sing along to the film’s soundtrack. The event will also feature free popcorn, a costume contest before the screening, and opportunities for photos.
“After the success of our first Movie Singalong, we are so excited that The Greatest Showman is the next film in our lineup, chosen by popular demand,” said Emily Brown, producer at PHT. “This will be a fun event for the whole family and a way to bring the community together to sing, dress up, and enjoy the movie with a bag of popcorn.”
Tickets are available online at phtheatre.org/box-office or by phone at 604-990-3474. More details about the Singalong Series can be found at phtheatre.org.
