Squamish is hardwired for adventure—and for McDonald’s ice cream cones, if you believe the latest news from the fast food company.
Squamish is among the top sellers of ice cream cones in Canada, beating other communities in the province to become the Cone Capital of BC. But we still got some way to go for the top position in the country.
Bathurst, N.B. topped all other cities in the country with highest cone sales for the entire year, followed by Regina, Laval, Calgary, Squamish, and New Orleans.
Last summer, Saskatchewan restaurants dominated cone sales in Canada from May to August with its first taste of the $1 cone, according to the company.
Ladner, B.C. also holds the record for the most cones sold in a single day with more than 1,200 cones sold.
Starting Tuesday, June 4 to September 2, McDonald’s Canada is serving its vanilla soft serve cones for just $1 plus tax.
