Summer of fun continues at the Shipyards in North Vancouver

A summer of fun continues at The Shipyards with six free nights of live music and entertainment, every Saturday from July 22 to August 26.

“Long Summer Nights” will immerse visitors in a diverse and themed experience at North Vancouver’s iconic waterfront destination. Sponsored by Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association, there will be live music, performances, pop-up culinary experiences and a unique theme happening each Saturday.

Viva North Vancouver: July 22, 6-9 p.m.

This Latin inspired theme with performers Rumba Calzada, Abalaê Capoeira and Sambacouver.

Jazz & Cheers: July 29, 6-9 p.m.

Jazz performances by the Scott Verbeek Trio, the Teresa Marie Quartet and the Colin Sankey Quartet.

Young at Heart: August 5, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Performances by Ginalina, Kel the Magician, and local youth DJs. Will feature a princess dance party, the Vancouver Circus School workshops and the local dance schools performing on our outdoor stage.

Country Thunder: August 12, 6-9 p.m.

Attendees can learn how to line-dance and listen to performances by the West Coast Slackers and the Dave Hartney Band.

90’s Nostalgia:  August 19, 6-9 p.m.

90’s throwback with DJ A spinning your favourite records, along with tribute bands, hip-hop performances and dance workshops.

Global Emersions: August 26, 5-9 p.m.

An eclectic mix of global sounds featuring several performers.

Visitors are encouraged to walk, take transit and bike to The Shipyards. A complimentary bike valet service will be provided for Long Summer Nights. The area is pedestrian-friendly with connecting trails and safe spaces to walk with friends and family, and wheelchair accessible bathrooms are available. Access is easy by transit, with the SeaBus arriving right at The Shipyards and bus connections nearby. Pay parking lots are available within a few blocks.
