A Sunshine Coast man arrested for a child porn investigation once taught in North Vancouver school district.
Graham Bowering, a 50-year-old man has been charged with a child pornography related offence.
Graham Bowering has had direct contact with children during his work as a teacher in the North Vancouver School District.
The investigation began in August 2020, as a result of a notification received from an electronic service provider, which alleged that an account user had child pornography in their possession.
Sunshine Coast RCMP immediately launched an investigation.
Following an extensive review and forensic analysis of the evidence, charges were approved by the BC Prosecution Services and an information sworn against Graham Bowering on April 26, 2021.
As a result, the Sunshine Coast RCMP are releasing this information in the interest of public safety and to further the police investigation.
Investigators have reviewed all available evidence and, at this point, no Lower Mainland children have been identified as potential victims.
