Swimming dock returns to Dundarave Beach this month

Staff report
June 14, 2022 5:25pm

Swimmers will be excited to learn that the swimming dock at Dundarave Beach will return after a two-year hiatus. The dock will be installed and ready for use by the end of June, with lifeguard service beginning June 27.

Thanks to a successful lifeguard recruitment program, lifeguards will be on duty during the following hours:

Monday–Friday: 1:30–6:30 p.m.

Weekends and holidays: 12–6:30 p.m.

Please note that lifeguard service is weather-dependent. Washrooms are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the District has increased the frequency of cleaning in park washrooms.

Dundarave Park, located on the waterfront, at the foot of 25th Street, is one of the most visited parks in West Vancouver. It has more than 50 metres of wide sandy beach and nearly a hectare of waterfront access. It’s also where the Centennial Seawalk begins.
