Taste of the Bay is back by popular demand in Horseshoe Bay, and the event will run for the first time after 2019.

“The event is put on by the passionate and dedicated local businesses of Horseshoe Bay. It is an amazing community event that is great for friends and family of all ages,” said Megan Sewell, the president of the Horseshoe Bay Business Association and the general manager of Sewell’s Marina.

On May 29, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, local participating businesses will open their doors to 650 ticket holders to come and sample what they have to offer.

“Your ticket is your passport, and each participating business is listed. As you visit them, they will stamp your passport. At the end of the event, adults can submit their ticket into a draw for an amazing gift basket full of goodies, and the kid’s tickets will be entered into a draw for an inflatable stand-up paddle board,” she said.

During the event, various musicians will be scattered throughout the Horseshoe Bay for people to enjoy; Checo Tohomaso, Karen Fowlie, Lee Nichols, PK3 Jazz Trio and Steven Marriott will be performing.

Also present will be fire trucks, police cars, and a vintage blue bus. On the waterside, you will find the Royal Canadian Search and Rescue Vessel and the Howe Sound Marine Initiative Dungeness Crab research project.  Parkside Gleneagles Rec will have various games available for all to enjoy.

Tickets are on sale now at Troll’s Restaurant, Blenz Coffee Shop, and Gleneagles Recreation Centre. There are only 650 tickets available, so don’t delay—get them before they are gone!
