TELUS plans to increase height of cell tower in West Van

Staff report
September 8, 2024 6:50pm

The District of West Vancouver is reviewing an application from TELUS to extend the height of its cell tower at 1043 Millstream Road.

The proposal would raise the tower from 16.6 metres to 18.3 metres—a 1.7-metre increase—to enhance mobile service in the area. The project is being assessed under the District’s Wireless Communication Facilities Policy.

Public Open House

TELUS will host a public open house to discuss the proposal on 17 September 2024, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in the Cedar Room at the West Vancouver Community Centre.

This session is organized by the applicant, not the District, and is intended to gather feedback from residents.

We keep increasing radiation without paying attention to the health effects. I personally have developed an ever increasing sensitivity over the last 15 – 20 yers.
Radiation rises y blood pressure dramatically, and I an already practically a prisoner in our home. In the home we have wired everything on fiberoptic but we cannot control the exterior!

Symptoms vary, insomnia is common, headaches, nausea or dizziness also can be reactions to electromagnetic fields from cell towers of all sorts.
A good book to educate yourself would be Electronic Silent Spring by K. Singer. She writes in simple, non technical terms. Highly recommended.

Cell phone radiation cannot, and does not, adversely affect human health.

It cannot because it’s wavelength cannot ionize atoms and chemicals in your body.

It does not, because exhaustive studies have found NO correlation between human disease and cell phone radiation. It does not, because it cannot.

Sunshine on the other hand, contains a broad spectrum with wavelengths that can ionize chemistry within human cells. So sunshine can, and does, harm humans.

The absence of cell phone signal on the other hand, can, and does adversly affect human well being. No signal, no 911 calls or other benefits of modern communication.

Just a couple of books from among over 2000 independent, peer reviewed reports internationally that might be helpful:
“Electromagnetic Radiation Survival Guide” by Dr. Jonathan Halpern PhD
and more for lay readers: “An Electronic Silent Spring” by Katie Singer
I can offer copies of reports from, (among many others), Dr. Olle Johansson of Sweden’s Karolinska Institute, who has spent decades researching the health effects of electromagnetic radiation. I’m sure the list of his reports is on line.
Industry of course tries to keep us in ignorance!
