Three people are in hospital following a collision involving two cars on the Sea to Sky Highway in Britannia Beach. The highway was temporarily closed but has since reopened
At about 4 pm today, police responded to a two car collision with injuries on Highway 99 on Britannia Creek Bridge. One of the passengers was trapped inside a car in the accident.
Policed needed to close the highway due to the smashed-up cars and debris. The air ambulance landed in a nearby gravel pit to take a woman with unknown injuries to a Lower Mainland hospital. The two others involved were taken by ambulance to hospitals.
“This was a collective effort by not only first responders, but folks who were first on scene,” says Corporal Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky RCMP. “We continue following up with our investigation to determine what happened.”
