STAFF REPORT
March 13, 2020 12:34pm

Three administrative staff members of Lions Gate Hospital have tested positive for COVID-19.

They are self-isolating at home and are recovering. They have not worked in clinical areas at Lions Gate Hospital.

Vancouver Coastal Health medical health officers are investigating the source of the transmission and are following up with those staff who may have had close contact with the individuals.

As of today, out of an abundance of caution, Lions Gate Hospital is restricting visitor access to family members only and will be posting signs to notify staff, patients and visitors to the hospital.

“We are not restricting patient access to Lions Gate Hospital. Ambulatory patients will be contacted ahead of their appointments for symptom screening,” VCH said.

OASIS? I think I know why. Why don’t the authorities tell the truth about who? Because people will come forward to tell them that, yes, I interacted with that person. Easier than trying to trace possible contacts from a person who is ill. Jeeeeeeez.. there is a shortage of brain matter in authorities.
