Traffic alert: Full closure of Esplanade/ Low Level Road

Crews will be moving houses to a barge at Seaspan, resulting in full closure of several roads on January 15 and 16.

The road closures starts at 8 pm on January 15 and will continue until 5 am on January 16. Crews will be moving houses from 400 block of East 3rd St, unit 100-200 blocks St Patricks Ave, and 200-300 blocks E Esplanade, and unit block St Georges Ave.

The houses will be moved to a barge at Seaspan.

This will require full road closures of E 3rd St and Esplanade/Low Level to accommodate this move, with arterial road closures occurring in stages. Traffic control personnel will be there to help with local road access.

On January 25, construction crews will be working on erecting a crane on the Lions Gate Hospital site. This work will continue to January 26.

During work hours, East 13th St will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic. The north sidewalk will be closed overnight.

The hours of work will be from 7 am to 4 pm.
