A pair of recent traffic stops by North Vancouver RCMP led to the discovery of drugs, weapons and an outstanding warrant on the driver.

Earlier this month, officers conducted a traffic stop near 13th Street and Lonsdale Avenue after noticing a vehicle with a burnt-out taillight. Police say a search of the vehicle uncovered drugs, weapons, and fraudulent identification documents. The driver was found to be prohibited from driving and in breach of probation conditions. The passenger was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

In a separate incident last week, another driver was stopped for using an electronic device while behind the wheel. Police say the individual was driving without insurance and with an expired licence. The driver was issued more than $1,200 in fines.
