City of North Vancouver and District of West Vancouver have designated local libraries as cooling centres.
The City of North Vancouver Library at 120, 14th Street West is the designated primary cooling center in CNV.
It is ready to provide cooling space for the community, and the opening hours are as follows:
Monday: 10 am – 5 pm
Tuesday to Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm
Friday to Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 1 pm – 5 pm
The West Vancouver Memorial Library is also open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 pm, and from 7:30 pm on Tuesday as a cooling centre for those looking for shelter from the heat in West Vancouver.
Seating and water fountains are available.
