Until October 15, drinking allowed at nine public places in CNV

Beginning today, City of North Vancouver will allow alcohol consumption in designated public spaces throughout the City of North Vancouver.

The bylaw took effect today, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy an alcoholic drink from 11 am to 9 pm, seven days a week at the following locations:

Waterfront Park (north and south of the train tracks, excluding the playground)

Victoria Park (west)

Mahon Park (behind Fen Burdett bleachers)

Civic Plaza

Grand Boulevard (13th St. to 19th St.)

Ray Perrault Park (north east corner)

Kings Mill Walk Park (Harbourside Pl. to Fell Ave.)

Shipbuilders Square at The Shipyards

Cates Deck at The Shipyards

This program runs from June 22 to October 15.

    Why restrictions june 22 – october 15

    Why not able always ? People have been drinking responsibly…. people drink at waterfront all winter long

    Why not also in front of joeys promenade – huge walkway or the pier

    Why are we only able to in areas that children are playing at ???
