A Vancouver man was arrested and faces mischief charges after a Kitsilano car dealership was vandalized overnight.
VPD officers responded to the Tesla dealership near Burrard and West 4th Avenue around 1:30 a.m. today following reports a man had spray-painted obscenities on the front window of the business. A witness called 9-1-1, allowing officers to respond immediately and locate the suspect nearby. The suspect, 27, has been released and directed to appear in criminal court on May 15.
The Vancouver Police Department supports everyone’s right to engage in peaceful and lawful protest, however people who commit acts of violence and mischief will face arrest and criminal charges.
Since January 1, 2025, there have been eight confirmed acts of mischief in Vancouver that police believe are politically motivated and in opposition to Tesla owner Elon Musk’s political affiliation with the U.S. government.
