Pearl Davey and Robert Robertson couldn’t help but let out screams of excitement upon realizing they scored $100,000 from a Pac Man Slots Scratch & Win ticket.
The Vancouver residents purchased the ticket from Jong Wah convenience store on East Pender Street and were still inside when they checked their ticket on the self-checker.
“I screamed,” said Davey. “Doreen was yelling ‘I won $1000, I won $10,000, I won $100,000!’ I was like ‘yeah right!’”
Davey and Robertson shared their shocking news with the whole neighbourhood, which was so excited for them.
Both Davey and Robertson plan to celebrate with champagne and a steak dinner.
“It feels great to win,” Robertson added.
