Vancouver Police have arrested 50-year-old Paul Doczi for a violent West End home invasion that sent a woman to hospital with serious injuries the morning of June 14.
Doczi was arrested by a patrol officer Saturday night. Crown counsel has approved charges of aggravated assault, break and enter, and theft. VPD investigators anticipate forwarding additional charges to Crown.
Doczi is in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for June 28.
“This was a priority investigation and we are pleased we were able to get the suspect into custody fairly quickly,” says Sergeant Jason Robillard, Vancouver Police Department. “We are continuing to support the victim in this assault and wish her a speedy recovery.”
