Grouse mountain staff posted pictures of the first flurries on Twitter.

The staff and visitors at Grouse Mountain experienced an early blast of winter as light snow coated the resort on Tuesday morning.

Grouse Mountain staff took to social media, posting pictures and videos of the first snow of the season.

“I spy with my little eyes the first flurries of the season,” said one Twitter user.

“Hi there snowflakes! We’ve missed you,” said another twitter user at the Grouse Mountain.

While the weather calls for sunshine in North Shore tomorrow and on Thursday, special weather statement has been issued for Southern Interior.

East Columbia, Fraser Canyon, Nicola, Oknagan Valley, South Thompson, West Columbia and Yoho Park can received heavy snow falls. Five to 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in these areas.
