The City of North Vancouver will keep washrooms in the public parks in the city open, even though the parks have been closed.
The washrooms will remain open and continue to be maintained and cleaned, city said.
The City of North Vancouver has also launched a Park Ambassador Program to ensure social distancing in local parks.
CNV’s team of ambassadors will be in local parks and on trails to keep an eye out for physical distancing.
“While sunny weather can make it very tempting to get outside and enjoy our wonderful outdoor spaces and people places around the City, we must follow the orders of our health authorities for everyone’s health and safety and to ‘flatten the curve’,” the city said.
CNV has also installed directional signage and spacing decals on the Pier. CNV has also closed the north-bound lane of West Grand Boulevard to vehicles.
The lane is now designated for cyclists, while the north-bound Green Necklace bike lane is for pedestrians.
