A Vancouver man is facing criminal charges of possession of stolen property after he was found to be in possession of an e-bike that was stolen on July 14 in Whistler, BC.
On August 16, the owner of the e-bike contacted West Vancouver Police to complain that he had located his stolen bike for sale online.
The man had arranged a meet at Park Royal Mall for later that day with the thief.
Officers working in plain clothes went to the area and quickly located the suspect, who was in possession of the bicycle that was worth over $9000.
A 38-year-old man from Vancouver was arrested at scene. He was later released and criminal charges are being recommended.
The stolen bicycle has since been returned to its owner.
