West Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help after an alleged road rage incident damaged a vehicle on Highway 1.
The incident occurred on Monday, September 8, at 7:48 p.m. on the Taylor Way off-ramp of Highway 1 Eastbound. Police say a motorcyclist pulled up next to a grey Mercedes, exchanged words with the driver, then allegedly smashed the vehicle’s side-view mirror and damaged the front door and fender.
The suspect is described as a heavy-built man riding a smaller black motorcycle with twin black tailpipes, no fairing, and no windshield. He was wearing a black helmet, grey shorts, and a black graphic hoodie.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or can identify the suspect to call the West Vancouver Police Department at 604-925-7300 and reference file #25-9530.
“Unsafe driving behaviours and conflict on the roads will not be tolerated,” West Vancouver police said in a statement. “Disagreements that escalate to violence, property damage, or aggressive driving can result in violation tickets or criminal charges.”
Police also urged drivers to avoid engaging in confrontations and instead report dangerous driving directly to authorities.
