The West Vancouver Community Foundation has launched its 2025 Give Where You Live campaign to raise funds for a range of North Shore charities addressing rising needs among youth, seniors, and families. The initiative was announced in a press release issued on November 18 by the Foundation.

According to the Foundation, grant requests for youth programs and health and wellness supports have climbed significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting the annual appeal for community giving. Donations made through the Foundation by December 31 will be matched, doubling contributions to participating charities.

This year, the campaign highlights 10 partner organizations and the programs they aim to fund:
– Avalon Recovery Society – North Shore One Day at a Time Program
– Backpack Buddies – Kids meal program
– Feed the Need – Seniors meal delivery
– North Shore Community Resources – Seniors Social Prescribing Program
– North Shore Crisis Services Society – Safe Housing for Women and Children
– North Shore Restorative Justice Society – Restorative Response Program
– Red Fox Healthy Living Society – North Shore Leadership Program
– Vancouver Food Runners – North Shore Food Recovery program
– West Vancouver Community Arts Council – Free summer community arts events
– West Vancouver Football Club – New Athletic Centre

The Foundation says the campaign is designed not only to raise funds but also to help residents learn more about the services supporting vulnerable people across the North Shore.

The West Vancouver Foundation, established in 1979, manages more than $32 million in assets and has granted over $16 million to community programs in health, education, arts, environment, and social services. The organization also leads the VitalSigns program, which reports on local priorities and emerging community needs.

Residents can learn more or donate before the December 31 deadline through the Foundation’s website.
